About
I have been involved in dramatic theater for the better part of a decade. My luck has allowed me to be a part of a great number of shows (Taming of the Shrew, Inherit the Wind, Plaza Suite, Relatively Speaking, Lost in Yonkers, Charley’s Aunt) with SCCC’s Center Stage Theatre. I’ve also performed with Marble Stage Theatre in several children’s shows, The Women with the Alpha Players, as Lenny in Crimes of the Heart with Act II, and as “Serenity, the Christmas Angel” with St. Charles’ Christmas Traditions. My turn off the stage has had me directing Spy for a Day for the O’Fallon Youth Theatre and teaching Theatre Workshops for YPT summer classes. It has been my distinct pleasure to study stage acting under Debbie Phillips, dialect coaching with Greg Faupel, and on-camera training from Kate Frisina. Recently, I became a Board Member for Monkey Tales Theatre, where I am also an Actor and Writer.
I have two fantastic and supportive children and will be tying the knot on 10/10/10.
One day I hope to produce and direct a stage version of Newsies on Broadway.
My goal with teaching Theatre, is to help kids with skills they already have and skills they have yet to discover, and create confidence within themselves to be great on and off the stage!
I look forward to sharing my experience and my vision with you!
Shannon
